Dolores V. Frederking, 91 of Nashville, passed away at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, July 12, 2024 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis with her family at her side. She was born on March 31, 1933 in rural Nashville the daughter of Oscar and Alinda Roesner Frederking. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Eldor (Frieda) Frederking and a brother in law Harry Bernthal. Left to mourn her passing is her sister Bernice Bernthal of St. Louis, brother Wilfred (Mary Ann) Frederking of Nashville. 9 nieces and nephews; Allen (Peggy) Bernthal, Patricia Bernthal, Connie Frederking, Pamela (Allen) Loesel, Mark (Karen) Frederking, Marcia (Terry) Marquardt, Duane (Lori) Frederking, Sarah (Paul) Heggemeier and Tabatha (John) Wesseln, Numerous great and great great nieces and nephews.
Dolores was the first blind person to graduate from Valparaiso University. She was an ordained Deaconess and took several classed at Concordia Seminary. She was a certified Rehabilitation Specialist. She was a very active member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Nashville, the New Minden Braile Center and coordinated bible study at Friendship Manor Health Center and the Washington County Hospital Extended Care Unit. She was also active in helping coordinate Meals on Wheels within her church.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Nashville with Rev. David Benning officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday at Styninger Funeral Home in Nashville and one hour prior to services on Wednesday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the New Minden Braile Center
