Diane J (Kemper) Rueter

Diane Rueter (nee Kemper) 83 of DeSoto Mo, formerly of New Minden, passed peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, July 15. She leaves behind her four daughters, Kimberly Rueter-Ortmann (Andy Ortmann), Angie Rueter, Kathy Lister, And Peggy Rueter. Also left to mourn are her beloved grandchildren, Kelsey Ortmann (Lee Bacott), Trenton Kurtz, Dalton Kurtz (Ayanna Young), Haley Lister, London Zapp, and Isabel Lister.  She married Louis A. Rueter on February 14, 1970 in New Minden and he preceded her in death along with her parents and a brother Donald Kemper.

Diane enjoyed several hobbies, including cooking, bingo, and embroidery. You could always locate her by the bits of thread she left behind like a trail of breadcrumbs.

Visitation will be held at Styninger Funeral Home in Nashville from 5:00-7:00 PM on Friday July 18. The family asks that you wear purple, Diane's favorite color and the color for Alzheimer's Awareness.

The funeral will be held at St. John's Lutheran Church in New Minden on Saturday , July 19 with Rev. Art Eichhorn officiating. Visitation will start at 10:00 with the funeral at 11:00. A luncheon will be held in the school basement immediately following the internment in the church cemetery.
