Darryl Lam

Darryl Lam, 55 of Nashville, passed away at 6:40 p.m. on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at his residence after a long health battle.  He was born on March 29, 1963 in St. Louis, MO, the son of James and Sylvia A. Smith Lam. Jr.  He married Theresa Hiller in September of 1985 and they later divorced.  Left to mourn his passing is his son; Darryl Lam, Jr. of Nashville and a daughter; Chastity Hiller of Mt. Vernon.  3 brothers; Bob Lam of Swansea, Jim Steele of Belleville and Michael Steele of St. Libory along with 9 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother and step father; Jim Steele.

Darryl was a diesel mechanic at Buds Trailer Repair in East St. Louis and a graduate of Freeburg High School.  He loved to fish and play golf.

A memorial gathering of family and friends will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 23, 2018 at the Styninger Funeral Home in Nashville.  Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
