Darel Benjamin Voss

Darel Benjamin Voss, Sr. 56 of Okawville, passed away suddenly at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 10, 2024 in the Emergency Room at Yuma Regional Medical Center in Yuma, AZ.  He was born on March 29, 1968 in Pinckneyville, the son of Larry and Martha Thompson Voss.  He married Debra Eggemann on July 27, 1993 in Paducah, KY and she survives in New Minden.  Also left to mourn his passing are 3 sons; Darel (Alissa Tippett) Voss, Jr. of Okawville, Dakota Voss of New Minden and Justin Schuetz of Lennon, MI.  2 daughters;  Dianna (Dennis) Elliott of Benton and Darla (Nathan) Gottman of Hoyleton.  16 grandchildren, a brother Eric Nagel of San Diego, CA.  3 sisters; Bridget Voss of Colorado Springs, CO, Vanessa (Tom) Gordon of Nashville and Tesha (Manny) Nagel-Villegas of Tuscon, AZ.  He was preceded in death by his parents and stepfather Bill Nagel. 

Darel was an agent truck driver for Century Express,  He was a member of the St. Peter  United Church of Christ in Okawville and the Nashville Moose Lodge.  He loved Allis Chalmers tractors, Chevy pickup trucks, traveling and being outside. 

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at the St. Peter United Church of Christ in Okawville with Rev. Jeffrey Schwab officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday at the Styninger Funeral Home in Nashville.  Memorial contributions may be made to Truckers Final Mile.
