Corinne Marie Rainey, 65 of Hoyleton formerly of Nashville, passed away at 2:34 p.m. on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at Memorial Hospital in Belleville with her family at her side. She was born on March 21, 1959 in Baton Rouge, LA., the daughter of Richard N. and Bertha L. Bruce Bourgeois, Sr. and they preceded her in death. Left to mourn her passing is her son Michael “Barry” Rainey, Jr. of Woodlawn, daughter Raven N. (Brandon) Emrick of Nashville. 4 grandchildren; Andrew and Owen Holle and Blaine and Kamden Emrick. 4 brothers; Richard N. (Janis) Bourgeois of Hoyleton, Hubert P. Bourgeois of Lousiana, Justin A. (Lisa) Bourgeois of The Woodlands, TX and Neal O. Bourgeois of Baton Rouge, LA. 3 sisters; Jeannette M. (Kerry) Guerin of Fordoche, LA., Cecile M. Bergeron of Fordoche, LA. and Annette Bourgeois of Baton Rouge, LA. Several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and one great great nephew and her dog “Gypsy”.
Corinne was of the Catholic faith. She worked as a Legal Secretary for Evans and Dixon LLC in St. Louis, retiring on April 10th of this year. She loved to cook, enjoyed fishing but mostly cherished her family and time spent with them.
A memorial gathering of family and friends will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 28, 2024 at Styninger Funeral Home in Nashville. Memorial contributions may be made to the Washington County Animal Shelter or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
