Cody Gene Northington, 24 of Hoyleton passed away at 3:31 a.m. on Saturday, July 19, 2014 at the scene of an automobile accident on State Route 177 near Addieville.  He was born on January 18, 1990 in Amory, MS, the son of Frankie and Lisa McKnight Northington.  He was preceded in death by his step father; Roy Illert and his paternal great grandparents.

Left to mourn his passing is his mother; Lisa Illert of Hoyleton, a brother; Brett Illert of Hoyleton.  Grandparents; Fred and Janet  Mc Knight of New Minden, Roy and Jean Illert of Dupo, great grandparents; Joseph “OJ” and Allie Mae Mc Knight of East Carondolet.  Fiance’ Ashley Wuebbels of Hoyleton, Uncle Josh (Kerry) Mc Knight of New Minden and 2 Aunts; Dawn Gray of New Minden and Shawn (Eugene) Seahorn of Russelville, AL.  Numerous cousins and friends.

Cody worked as a delivery person at Gutzler Furniture in Nashville.  He was a member of the Lighthouse Pentocostal church in East Carondolet.  He trained in MMA Fighting and loved to fish, gig frogs and ride 4 wheelers.  

Graveside services will be held at Noon on Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at the Greenwood Cemetery in Nashville with his great grandmother; Rev. Allie Mae Mc Knight officiating.  Friends may call from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the Styninger Funeral Home in Nashville.  Memorial contributions are suggested.
