Celeste F. “Sally” Hohlt 93 of Nashville, passed away at 7:35 p.m. on Sunday, May 04, 2014 at Friendship Manor Health Center in Nashville. She was born on October 31, 1920 in New Minden, the daughter of Ed and Marie Pruehsner Bohbrink. She married Wilbert J. Hohlt on January 29, 1944 in Kansas City, KS and he passed away on March 22, 2001. Also preceding her in death were her parents, a brother; Everett (Lavern) Bohbrink, 2 sisters; Doris (Albert) Krohne and Alice (Riemond Heseman) Thompson and a brother in law; Arthur Jollenbeck.
Left to mourn her passing is a son; Alan Hohlt of Nashville and a daughter; Polly Hohlt Jones of LaDue, MO. 3 grandchildren; Kelly (Michael) Waller and Nathan and Jordyn Hohlt. 3 great grandchildren; Brooke, Ross and Collin Waller. A brother; Edward “Buddy’ (Joan) Bohbrink of Jinks, OK and a sister; Audrey Jollenbeck of Okawville.
Mrs. Hohlt was a long time member of the St. Paul United Church of Christ in Nashville where she was active in the Dorcas Circle, she was a member of the Nashville Ladies Golf League and served for many years on the Nashville Municipal Golf Course Board of Directors. She was a member of the American Legion Auxillary and a former member of the Washington County Hospital Auxillary.
A private family Celebration of Life service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 8th at the Styninger Funeral Home in Nashville with Rev. Jeffrey Schwab officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Paul United Church of Christ Cemetery in Nashville. A public visitation will be held from 8:30 a.m. until service time on Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Paul UCC Building Fund or to the Nashville Municipal Golf Course
