Catherine Marie (Wacker) Rummer

Catherine Marie Rummer, 40 of Hoyleton, passed away suddenly at 12:14 a.m. on Friday, March 17, 2023 at her residence.  She was born on August 29, 1982 in Centralia the daughter of James and Nancy Howard Wacker. She married James Rummer on December 30, 2005 in Nashville and they later divorced. She is survived by her father of Hoyleton, children; Alex and Alexis Rummer of Belleville.  2 brothers; Jamison (Emmie) Wacker of Mt. Vernon, IN and Jon (Rebecka) Wacker of Hoyleton.  3 sisters; Angenien (Bill) Huffstutler of Carlyle, Christy (Bill) Funke of New Minden and Angenette (Eric) Segelhorst of Venedy, along with several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her mother Nancy Wacker and her grandparents.

Catherine was a graduate of Nashville Community High School.  She worked as a cashier at the Shell station in Nashville.  She loved art and drawing as well as the cartoon Arthur and watching WWF.  She mostly enjoyed spending time with her children and dog.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at Zion United Church of Christ in Hoyleton with Rev. Sharon Patton officiating.  Burial will follow in the North Prairie cemetery in Hoyleton.  Friends may call one hour prior to services on Tuesday at the church.  Memorial contributions may be made to her children. Styninger Funeral & Cremation Chapel in Hoyleton is in charge of arrangements.
