Billie D (Pence) Probst

Billie D. Probst, 85 of Nashville, passed away at 10:42 a.m. on Thursday, October 24, 2024 at Friendship Manor Health Center in Nashville.  She was born on May 21, 1939 in Thorn Grove, Arkansas, the daughter of Virgil A. and Pauline Birchett Pence.  She married James Edwin Probst on May 31, 1958 and he passed away on November 9, 2017.  

Billie and her husband were passionate volunteers with the Red Cross and were deployed to numerous hurricanes, floods, fires and New York after 911 where they spent numerous weeks near ground zero.

She is survived by her sons; Dr. James (Melanie) Probst of Nashville and  Duane A.J. (Cheryl) Probst of Linn, Missouri 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 2, 2024 at the Handy church in Handy, Missouri.  Burial will follow in the Handy Cemetery. Friends may call from 10:000 a.m. until service time at the church.  Styninger Funeral Home in Nashville is in charge of local arrangements.
