Betty Jean Aussieker

April 10, 1926 ~ May 7, 2013 (age 87) 87 Years Old

Betty Jean Aussieker 87 of Hoyleton, went to live with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ surrounded by her family at 1:33 p.m. on Tuesday, May 07, 2013 at St. Mary's Hospital in Centralia after 16 days of fighting for her life with pneumonia and lung infections.  She was born on April 10, 1926 near Centralia, the daughter of Carl and Ruth Valleroy Sanders.  She married Alvin H. Aussieker on April 10, 1947 in Hoyleton.  Left to mourn her passing is her husband of 66 years.  2 sons; Donald (Patricia) Aussieker of Port S. Lucie, FL. and Dale Aussieker of Centralia.  2 daughters; Jean (Tim) Ondo of West Frankfort and Ruth (Mike) Czerwonka of Hoyleton.  9 grandchildren; Tim (Melissa) Kuhn, Cory Aussieker, Christie Aussieker, Gina Kessler, Anthony (Brittany) Aussieker, Aaron Ondo, Kyle Ondo, Austin (Brandi) Czerwonka, Shelby (Alex) Czerwonka and Derek Czerwonka.  8 great grandchildren; Colby and Caitlyn Colby Aussieker, Hailey Kessler, Hunter and Jordan Aussieker, Carter and Caethan Czerwonka and Kiera Czerwonka.  She was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson; Adam Ondo and 2 brothers; Virgil and Kermit Sanders.

Betty was a kind, caring and loving wife, mother and grandmother.  She was a member of Friends in Faith Evangelical Church in Hoyleton and the American Legion Post #887 Auxillary in Hoyleton.  She was a passionate blood donor, having donated over 16 gallons.  She enjoyed playing cards, especially pinochle.  She and Alvin enjoyed traveling, especially with their RV to Florida to visit her son Donnie and his family.  Along the way, they traveled with many friends.  Betty enjoyed going out to eat, especially at the Centralia Elks.  She and Alvin loved going to the Casino Queen and eating there as well.  She will be very missed by the many hearts and lives she touched.  Her family and friends take comfort in knowing that Jesus Christ is her Savior and she is now in the presence of the King.

A celebration of life service will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, May 11th at the Hoyleton Community Building where she worshiped with Rev. Rick Mortimer officiating.  Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until service time on Saturday at the Community Building.  A luncheon will follow the service.  Cremation rites will follow and inurnment will take place at a later date at the Zion Evangelical Cemetery in Hoyleton.  Styninger Funeral Chapel in Hoyleton is in charge of arrangements   In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association, Elks Operation We Care or the American Diabetes Association.
