Allen R. Weihe, 79 of Hoyleton, formerly of Carlyle passed away suddenly at 10:19 a.m. on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 in Clinton County He was born on May 4, 1942 in New Minden, the son of Fred and Norma Kraus Weihe. He married Jo Ann Harmening on August 25, 1962 in New Minden and they later divorced. Left to mourn his passing are his 2 daughters; Jill Hohlt of Hoyleton and Jenni (Tab) Stiegman of Lake of the Ozarks, MO. A brother Earl (Sue) Weihe of Denver, CO. 2 sisters; Trudy (Dennis) Windler of New Minden and Mary (Bill) Douthitt of Belleville. 2 grandchildren; Nathan Hohlt of Hoyleton and Jordyn Hohlt of Nashville. 2 step grandchildren; Eric Stiegman and Whitney Wolf. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Jerry in infancy.
Allen was a graduate of Nashville High School and was of the Lutheran faith. He retired from Antolin Ligma in Nashville and was a member of the Centralia Elks lodge. He enjoyed playing golf and hunting when he was younger.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at the Styninger Funeral Home in Nashville with Rev. Timothy Mueller officiating. Burial will follow in the St. John’s Lutheran cemetery in New Minden. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until service time on Saturday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or a charity of the donor’s choice.
