Alberta Ann Wecke 90 of Hoyleton, passed away at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at Washington County Hospital in Nashville.  She was born on February 12, 1924 in Hoyleton, the daughter of Henry W. and Clara Grissom Maschhoff.  She first married Armin Henry Brink on February 28, 1943 in Hoyleton and he passed away on April 26, 1968.  She then married William Wecke on July 11, 1970 and he survives.  Also surviving are 2 sons; Howard (Patty) Brink and Ralph (Connie) Brink both of Hoyleton.  5 grandchildren; Kevin and Kyle Brink, Katie Wolters, Sherry Goestenkors and Shawn Matecki.  11 great grandchildren; Nicholas Brink, Kasie Dubala,Austin and Dustin Matecki, Mark and Nicole Brink, Connor and Colton Wolters and Logan, ,Emma and Grace Brink.  A brother; Leroy (Carolyn) Maschhoff of Maroa.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson; Todd Brink and 2 brothers; Harvey and Orville Maschhoff.

Alberta worked at the Hoyleton Children’s Home for 14 years.  She was a member of the Zion United Church of Christ and the Hoyleton American Legion Auxillary Post #887.  She enjoyed working outdoors, traveling with her husband and spending time with her family.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 12^th at the Zion United Church of Christ in Hoyleton with Rev. Howard Self officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Friends may call one hour prior to services at the church.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Zion United Church of Christ.  Styninger Funeral and Cremation Chapel in Hoyleton is in charge of arrangements.
