Adeline M (Mc Daniels) Weyhrich

Adeline M. Weyhrich, 98 of Nashville, formerly of Pekin, passed away at 7:55 p.m. on Sunday, June 12, 2022 at Friendship Manor Health Center in Nashville.  She was born on May 13, 1924 in Pekin, the daughter of Raymond and Roxana Lingafelter Mc Daniels.  She married Delbert L. Weyhrich on January 26, 1947 in Pekin and he passed away on June 3, 1975.  Also preceding her in death were her parents, a brother Eugene Mc Daniels and a sister-in-law Marian Mc Daniels Allen.  Left to mourn her passing is a son Richard (Brenda) Weyhrich of Cincinnati, OH.  A daughter Krista (Dennis) Koch of Nashville.  A sister Mary Kay (James) Johnson of Pekin.  3 grandchildren; Heidi Mehok and fiancé Jason Shimmel of Erie, CO. Brian (Lisa) Weyhrich of Charlotte, NC and Christopher Weyhrich of Cincinnati, OH.  4 great grandchildren; Adelyn Mehok, Nolan Weyhrich, Benton Weyhrich and Arlo Shimmel.

 Adeline was an accounting supervisor at Pekin Insurance Company for 20 years.  She was a member of the St. John’s Lutheran Church in Pekin where she was active in the St. John’s Guild, Bethlehem Society and served as the historian.  She was a member of the American Business Women’s Association and was a volunteer at Pekin Hospital along with a Boy Scout and Girl Scout leader.  She enjoyed reading, doing puzzles and flower gardening earning her the name “Flower Lady” from the neighborhood children.

 A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 23, 2022 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Pekin with Rev. Daniel Bishop officiating.  Burial will follow in the Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.  Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until service time on Thursday at the church.  Memorial contributions may be made to the St. John’s Lutheran Church. Styninger Funeral Home in Nashville is in charge of arrangements.
