Sandra Schmersahl Obituary

Sandra I. Schmersahl, 77 of Nashville, passed away at 12:22 p.m. on Monday, July 15, 2019 at Washington County Hospital in Nashville. She was born on July 22, 1941 in East St. Louis, the daughter of George M. and Helen Stout Irvin. She married Louis M. Schmersahl on June 23, 1994 in Nashville and he passed away on March 13, 2018. Also preceding her in death were her parents and 2 sons; David and Eric Recard. Left to mourn her passing is a son; Michael Recard of Vienna, a daughter; Kelly, 3 grandchildren; David, Kyle and Baron. 2 brothers; Doug (Kerry) Irvin of Swansea and Pete Irvin of O’Fallon. A sister; Debbie Irvin of Nashville and several nieces and nephews.

Sandra was a legal secretary retiring in 2004. She loved horses and her pets.

Private family services will be held. Styninger Funeral Home in Nashville is in charge of arrangements.
