Roger L. Kimme, 61 of Nashville, passed away at 11:28 a.m. on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at Washington County Hospital in Nashville. He was born on January 14, 1957 in East St. Louis, the son of Edgar and Norma Chinn Kimme. Roger was a loving husband and father. He was preceded in death by his father. Left to mourn his passing is his mother; Norma Knapp of Caseyville. His wife; Tammy Morris-Kimme of Nashville. 8 sons; Brian Kimme of Caseyville, Lance (Jenn) Kimme of Caseyville, Luke (Ashley) Kimme of Nashville, Jeramy Wegman of O’Fallon, Bobby Abernathy of Beaucoup, Kenny Abernathy of Germantown, Eric Abernathy of Nashville and Sean (Kaci) Abernathy of Beaucoup. 2 daughters; Bridget (Andy) Wilson of Belleville and Cyndi (Mike) Kallvy of Trenton. 2 brothers; Larry (Amy) Kimme of Caseyville and Jim (Sharon) Kimme of Florida. 2 sisters; Connie (Vaughn) McKinney of Texas and Jeanne (Dwayne) Blanton of Caseyville and 30 grandchildren, his mother in law; Lavonne Milhfeld of Nashville and a daughter in law; Christy Boswell of Nashville.
Roger was a graduate of East St. Louis High School and served in the United States Marine Corps. He was a truck driver with Arthur Express in DuQuoin. He loved spending time with his family, camping and cars, especially his prize corvette.
A memorial gathering of family and friends will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, July 9, 2018 at the Styninger Funeral Home in Nashville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested.
