Laverne A. Kolweier, 89 of Nashville, passed away at 6:10 a.m. on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at Friendship Manor Health Center in Nashville.  She was born on September 18, 1928 in Okawville, the daughter of Fred and Clara Lohmeyer Kruse.  She married Earl Kolweier on August 31, 1947 in Okawville and he passed away on November 5, 1997.  Also preceding her in death were her parents and 4 sisters; Mildred Suedmeyer, Elsie Kruse, Gladys Lange and Esther Lange.  Left to mourn her passing are 2 sons; Glen (Jane Ann) Kolweier of Sparta and Wayne (Cheri) Kolweier of Hoffman Estates.  A sister; Doris (Charles) Schleifer of Nashville.  6 grandchildren; Amy, Mike and wife Sarah, Brett and wife Lauren, Bryce and fiance Ashley Garlich, Neil and Jonathan Kolweier.  3 great grandchildren; Luke, Lilly and Tessa Kolweier.

Laverne was a devoted member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Nashville where she was active in the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League, Cheer Guild and Quilting Club.  She served as the custodian at Trinity St. John Lutheran School for 14 years.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Nashville with Rev.’s Aaron Kotila and James Miller officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Friends may call from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Monday at the Styninger Funeral Home in Nashville and one hour prior to services on Tuesday at the church.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church or the Lutheran Hour.
