Gregory Allen Burger

Gregory Allen Burger, 46 of Okawville, passed away at noon on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at Washington County Hospital in Nashville.  He was born on June 3, 1973 in St. Louis County.  He married Kelly Rixmann on September 26, 1992 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hoyleton and she survives in Okawville.  Also left to mourn his passing are his parents; Skip and Jackie Underwood of Nashville, 2 sons; Dale and Chase Burger both of Okawville and a daughter; Faye Burger of Okawville.  His grandfather; Richard Faulkner of Owensville, MO.   A brother; Daryl (Tami) Underwood and their children; Nicole and Natalie of Stuart, FL. 2 sisters; Sarah Hollowell and her children; Grace, Adele, Camdyn and Liam of Nashville and Rachel Kraus and her children; Leah and Elaina of Nashville. Mother in law; Karen Rixmann of Hoyleton.  2 brother in laws; Jarret Rixmann of Columbus, IN and Craig (Tracy) Rixmann of Coulterville.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents; Betty Faulkner and Melvin and Dolores Underwood along with his father in law; Jerry Rixmann.

Greg was a self employed mechanic and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Hoyleton.  He enjoyed Indy car racing, the St. Louis Blues and spending time with his family.

 A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 13, 2019 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hoyleton with Rev. Aaron Kotila officiating.  A private burial will follow at a later date at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Nashville.  Friends may call from 9:30 until service time on Saturday at the church.  Memorial contributions may be made to Christ Our Rock Lutheran High School or pediatric cancer research.  Styninger Funeral Homes of Nashville and Hoyleton is in charge of arrangements.
