Xondra Kay Hug, 64 of Irvington, passed away at 2:55 a.m. on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at her residence. She was born on September 21, 1952 in Centralia, the daughter of Lloyd and Marilyn Dries Spenner. She married Vincent “Scotty” Hug on December 30, 2005 in Nashville and he passed away on September 26, 2012. Also preceding her in death was her mother and a brother in law Milton Pitts. Left to mourn her passing are 2 sons; Cory (Melissa) Engelman of Hoyleton and Brock (Cindy) Engelman of Nashville. Her father; Lloyd Spenner of Mt. Vernon. 3 granddaughters; Amanda Howie, Alexis and Trinity Engelman. A brother; Joel (Becky) Spenner of Mooresville, NC. 2 sisters; Nina (Charles) Pollard of Missouri and Ruth Spenner-Pitts of Webster, NY and the father of her children; Dennis Engelman of Nashville.
Mrs. Hug grew up in the Trinity Lutheran Church in Hoyleton and was a volunteer for the Children’s Miracle Network. She worked for the Hoyleton Children’s Home, Nascotte Industries in Nashville and then was owner/operator of the Jet restaurant inNashville. She most recently worked at the Carlyle Wal Mart store. She enjoyed wood working, fishing, animals and especially her granddaughters.
A celebration of life service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 13, 2017 at Styninger Funeral Home in Nashville with Rev. Nathan Wollenberg officiating. Friends may call from 5:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Children’s Miracle Network.
