Paul H. Boehne, 93 of Hoyleton, passed away at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday, November 24, 2016 at SSM Good Samaritan Health Center in Mt. Vernon.  He was born on March 4, 1923 near Hoffman, the son of Oscar and Amelia Kleiboeker Boehne.  He married Mildred Stuehmeyer on September 7, 1952 in Hoyleton and she passed away on May 3, 2005.  Also preceding him in death were his parents, a grandson; Eric McCall, 4 brothers; Theodore, Walter, Edwin and Charles Boehne.  3 sisters; Amanda Kottmeyer, Hilda Nottmeyer and Mary Ann Hanenberger.

Left to mourn his passing are 4 daughters; Elaine (Dan) McCall of Aransas Pass, TX, Doris (Jim) Regenhardt of Mountain Home, AR, Carol (Lowell) Shubert of Lively Grove and Linda (Dan) Blumhorst of Venedy.  9 grandchildren; Heather (Gary) Rieth, Jacqueline (Justin) Knolhoff, Matthew (Stephanie) McCall, Natalie Shubert, Andy (Alison) Shubert, Jessica (Erik) Schneider, Sara (Wayne) Young, Lucas and Travis Blumhorst.  A step grandchild; Daniel (Brittany) Regenhardt.  10 great grandchildren; Austin Rieth, Madalyn and Saxen McCall, Victoria and Jackson Knolhoff, Emilee and Ella Young, Garrison and Alyssa Schneider and Logan Shubert.  Step great grandchildren; Olivia, Cameron, Charlotte and Addie Regenhardt and Meadow Young.  A sister; Bernice Terry of Sandoval.  3 sister in laws; Erna and Elizabeth Boehne both of Hoffman and Edie Boehne of Salem.  Special friends; Randy, Angie & Brooke Bowman and numerous nieces and nephews.

Paul served in the United States Army during WWII.  He was a mechanic all of his life, first for Paul Fark Implement in Hoyleton and later owned and operated Boehne Repair Service.  He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Hoyleton where he served on the Board of Trustees, the Cemetery Committee and was active in the Men’s Club.  He served as a Village Trustee in Hoyleton for many years and served as mayor for 2 terms.  He was also a member of the Hoyleton American Legion Post.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 30th at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hoyleton with Rev. Tyler Hauptmeier officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the church and one hour prior to services.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. Styninger Funeral & Cremation Chapel in Hoyleton is in charge of arrangements
