Florentine Marie Keen, 78 of Coulterville, formerly of Nashville passed away at 6:35 a.m. on Friday, November 10, 2017 at her daughter’s residence in Freeburg.  She was born on January 8, 1939 in Nashville, the daughter of Edward and Rosella Lawhorn Nowak.  She married George R. Keen on June 30, 1956 in Belleville and he survives her passing.  Also left to mourn her passing are a son; Terry Keen of Coulterville, 3 daughters; Vicky (Steve) Roman of Freeburg, Sue Gale and Peggy Keen both of Nashville.  A brother; Stanley (Dee) Nowak of Belleville and a sister; Josephine (Allen) Valerius of Belleville.  7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter; Cindy Kennedy, a sister; Frances and a granddaughter Yvonne Jacobson.

Mrs. Keen was a member of the Nashville Assembly of God Church (The Healing Place).  She enjoyed gardening and taking care of people.

There will be no public services. Styninger Funeral Home in Nashville is in charge of arrangements.
