Dolores Marie “Dorie” Potocki ,77 of Mt. Vernon, passed away at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 1, 2017 at Mt. Vernon Health Care Center in Mt. Vernon.  She was born on June 20, 1940 in Chicago, the daughter of Edmund and Stella Maskalunas Potocki.  She was preceded in death by her parents.  Left to mourn her passing are 2 cousins; Carl Herrmann of Hoyleton and Beth Elpers of Haubstadt, IN.

Miss Potocki was a civic volunteer in the Chicago area and was of the Roman Catholic Faith.

She will be laid to rest next to her parents at Holy Cross cemetery in Calumet City.  All services will be private.  Styninger Funeral Homes of Nashville and Hoyeton are in charge of arrangements.
