Debra R. Wernecke, 60 of Nashville, passed away at 1:44 p.m. on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at her residence.  She was born on August 6, 1955 in Pinckneyville, the daughter of Raymond and Jo Ann Janowski Jankowski.  She first married Ronald Skortz on May 4, 1974 in Mt. Vernon and he passed away in 2007.  She then married Dennis Wernecke in Waterloo in 2008 and he survives in Nashville.  Also left to mourn her passing is a daughter; Christa (Shawn) Dudley of Ashley.  3 grandchildren; Pacey, Parker and Easton Dudley.  A brother; Ricky Jankowski of Damiansville.  4 sisters; Sandi Colle of Mt. Vernon, Jackie Barton of Nashville, Kelley Ross of Collinsville and Linda Jankowski of Sheller.  An uncle; Jerry Janowski of Nashville.  She was preceded in death by her parents, twin daughters; Theresa and Terri and a brother; Russell Jankowski.

Mrs. Wernecke worked in the dietary department at Washington County Hospital in Nashville and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and family.
