Colleen J. Mc Elligott, 62 of Oakdale, passed away at 4:02 p.m. on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at her residence.  She was born on March 17, 1955 in Methuen, MS the daughter of Joseph and Barbara Gantner Curtis, Sr.  She married Michael W. Mc Elligott on August 26, 1995 in Fairview Heights and he survives in Oakdale.  Also left to mourn her passing is her mother of Thorsby, AL. 3 sons; Chad (Misty) Mc Elligott of Festus, MO, Ryan (Julie) Mc Elligott of Marissa and Sean (Renee) Mc Elligott of Edwardsville. 2 sisters; Annette Hale of Thorsby, AL and Jackie (John) Voegtle of Belleville.  15 grandchildren, a sister in law; Charline Curtis of Fairview Heights and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her father, 2 brothers; Joseph Curtis, Jr. and Russell Curtis and a brother in law; Allen Hale.

Colleen was a member of St. Anthony Catholic church in Lively Grove and loved animals, especially cats.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 25th at Styninger Funeral Home in Nashville with Fr. Tadeusz Gegotek officiating.  Burial will follow in Elkton Cemetery.  Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital.
